MGE offers community solar and green pricing options to help you add more clean energy to your mix. 

MGE continues to grow our use of wind and solar to serve all customers as we work toward carbon emissions reductions of at least 80% by 2030 and net-zero carbon electricity by 2050. If we can go further faster, we will. Through Green Power Tomorrow (GPT) and our community solar program, Shared Solar, thousands of customers like you are helping us add even more clean energy to our community grid. Green Power Tomorrow 

Our GPT program includes approximately 10,000 MGE customers who buy green power that's generated from wind and solar arrays in our region. They help to: 

• Prevent carbon dioxide emissions equivalent to more than 11,000 homes' electricity use for one year. 
• Offset the greenhouse gas emissions equal to more than 180,000,000 miles driven by the average passenger vehicle.  

At only a penny more per kilowatt-hour than our standard rate, GPT gives you the option to purchase electricity generated by our wind and solar resources. Whether it's $1 per month or 100% of your electricity use, you determine the monthly amount of electricity purchased under GPT. Our GPT program is one of the easiest, most flexible and affordable ways to show your support for growing clean energy. 
 

Where GPT power comes from
